THE LIFE

Singh is an Indian artist who began as a photojournalist before turning to books and installations. Her long friendship with Mona Ahmed, a eunuch living in a Delhi cemetery, produced the book Myself Mona Ahmed. She builds folding wooden structures she calls museums, which hold and rearrange her photographs. She received the Hasselblad Award in 2022.
